Post Distribution Monitoring (PDM) of Cross Border Post Arrival Humanitarian Assistance (CB-PAHA)

• Conducted post-distribution monitoring through face-to-face interviews with 993 heads of households and individuals in Herat, Nimroz, Kandahar, and Nangarhar provinces, assessing the quality, sufficiency, utilization, and effectiveness of cash assistance (Cash for Transportation, NFI, and Multi-Purpose Cash) provided to vulnerable undocumented returnees from Iran, Pakistan, Turkey, and other countries.
• Evaluated satisfaction levels and expenditure patterns of cash assistance among returnees, including pushback and spontaneous cases, registered by the Directorate of Refugees and Repatriation (DoRR) and screened by IOM at Reception and Transit Centers.
• Identified challenges in distribution processes and complaint mechanism usage, gathering recommendations to enhance support for migrant returnees and improve future humanitarian interventions.
• Collected and analyzed qualitative and quantitative data using KOBO Collect, sharing findings with IOM M&E focal points to inform program adjustments.
• Provided training to enumerators on PDM forms, data protection, and ethical practices, ensuring safe access for vulnerable groups like the elderly, persons with disabilities, and female-headed households.
